Hello, I am Silvia.

I go online by Via S. Hellenick as it is my chosen pen name. I am a Developmental editor whose mission is to help writers slay imposter syndrome and make their voice shine, and a fiction writer who is obsessed with anything related to storytelling.
I went through training as a Developmental Editor throug the EFA (Editorial Freelancers Association) and I am now scavangering the world for manuscripts I can help bring to life.
I spent years believing my stories didn’t matter, and I hushed my voice because of it. Now I help writers shape their story into something readers can connect with, without forgetting the person behind it.
I got back into writing with a story about a friendly ghost who just wants to feel seen, and for how silly it may seem, it showed me something really important: I’ve struggled my whole life to feel seen.
My own story ended up teaching me that each voice, for how soft and gentle, deserves to be heard.
As a writer myself, I know how lonely this beautiful craft can get, and how scary it can be to take the leap and follow this beautiful dream, but also how important our stories are to us, and how much a writer can get attached to them and the characters.
So, do not fret! I am not here to tell you to change everything and what you are doing “wrong”.
It’s your story, you can’t go wrong with it.
When I am not lost somewhere fictional, you can find me in the kitchen, baking mostly bread and pizza, or hiding to paint in my little craft room with my cat.
I am in love with cappuccinos, terrified of lizards, and really scared of death, even though I end up writing a lot about it (death, not lizards).
